Bridging the Gap

Bridging the gap between a team and its success has never been more fun. In this challenging exercise, teams will actually build large-scale bridges using real lumber and supplies. The group is broken into teams and given the task to build a bridge meeting certain specifications and using only the materials given. The twist? Each team only builds half of the bridge. Another team builds the other half. For this to work communication is key.

Teams are separated and only allowed short communication windows where they must plan and design their two halves to meet perfectly in the middle. At the end the team's complete bridge will span a minimum of an 8-foot gap and stand at least 3 feet tall.

With roadblocks and team challenges along the way, this is a fun, exhilarating and mentally demanding activity that is sure to get your group communicating and building together!
